About the author:

Teresa Bateman grew up in Issaquah, Washington then received an Associates degree from Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) and a Bachelors degree from BYU in Provo, UT. She has a Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington.

She served an 18-month mission for her church in Argentina, and taught school for a year in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, then spent 35 years teaching, over 30 of which involved being a school librarian in Federal Way, Washington.
